Days of Our Lives Star AnnaLynne McCord Is Engaged!
AnnaLynne McCord is known for keeping us on our toes. While navigating life as Cat Greene on Days of Our Lives, where her character is deeply enmeshed in the complex social circles of Salem —planting kisses on EJ and pining after Chad DiMera—McCord’s personal life has reached a significant milestone. The actress is officially engaged to former England rugby standout Danny Cipriani.
According to PEOPLE, Danny popped the question on Christmas Day 2025 at their Los Angeles home. The couple, both 38, are thrilled to be taking this next step after what they describe as a “tumultuous on-and-off romance.”
Cipriani presented McCord with a striking 15-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, accented by seven smaller diamonds set within the band.
A Proposal Full of Laughs and Tears

The moment was a total whirlwind for the actress. AnnaLynne shared that she cried for ten minutes straight before she could even get a word out.
“At some point, I realized I had to answer,” she recalled. “I said, ‘Yes, but I can’t even speak,’ and he replied, ‘That’s okay, it’s actually a good sign that you are quiet for once.’ Then, we’re all laughing.”
In a sweet twist of fate, it turns out the pair was already on the same page. Completely unbeknownst to one another, they had separately bought each other promise rings back in November while spending Thanksgiving in Arizona. AnnaLynne even toyed with the idea of popping the question herself! However, after talking it over with her sisters, Rachel and Angel McCord, she decided to let things play out naturally.
From Rose Petals to World Travels
The actual proposal day involved a little bit of sisterly plotting. Right before a planned trip, AnnaLynne was cooking dinner when she noticed “the Scorpios” (Cipriani and her sister Rachel) whispering in the corner. She assumed they were just talking about their upcoming getaway to Cambodia, but they insisted she go upstairs to change and put on some makeup for a quick movie trip with her nephew.
Naturally, she was hesitant. However, she eventually agreed. When she finally came back downstairs, the house had been transformed. There were rose petals everywhere, and Danny was down on one knee, waiting for her to step into the center of a floral heart.
The celebrations didn’t stop in LA. The couple headed off to Cambodia and India to celebrate with some family members in the places they love most in the world.
After going public with their romance back in April 2024, it looks like these two have finally found their endgame.
Huge congrats to the happy couple! We can’t wait to see the wedding photos.
