Emmerdale legend Charley Webb’s ‘over and out’ message to fans as she issues career update

Charley Webb is known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Debbie Dingle

Emmerdale legend Charley Webb has given fans a career update.

Charley Webb, 38, is known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap. She has appeared in nearly 2,000 episodes of the show. Charley was last seen as Debbie, in Emmerdale, back in 2021.

Since her exit, Charley has appeared in TV shows The Last Shadow and Better as well as on the stage in production Quiz – the play based on the infamous Who Wants to be a Millionaire? cough scandal.

Earlier this year, we brought you details of her theatre role in The Ladies Football Club. She appeared as the character Abigail in the production at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

Other cast members including Jessica Baglow, from Gentleman Jack, and Ellie Leach from Coronation Street. Marking the end of the production’s run, Charley posed for a photo with the cast on Instagram.

Charley captioned it: “Over and Out Abigail. Ladies Football Club.”

The Ladies Football Club was set during the First World War when men were forced onto the front line to fight. The women of Sheffield, left behind, took their place in the factories, constructing the bombs and the bullets.

The narrative then followed them starting to kick a football around on their lunch breaks and the connection created from it.
