Emmerdale legend’s return ‘sealed’ as culprit who set fire to barn ‘unveiled’

Things took a dramatic turn on Emmerdale when Moira Dingle’s old barn was set on fire and fans have ‘worked out’ who is responsible

Emmerdale fans are certain they know who set fire to Robert Sugden’s barn – and it’s a soap legend reportedly heading back.

This week, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was released from jail after being wrongly imprisoned for double murder and supposed involvement in Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) sick operation.

In the time Moira has been away, her family have been thinking a lot. As well as Husband Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) cancer diagnosis, he and their children moved out of Butler’s Farm and into Wishing Well.

They were also forced to sell Moira’s beloved farm to evil Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) the current tenant of the farm.

And in Thursday’s episode (April 16) things took a dramatic turn when a fire started in one of the barns. Moira quickly took control of the situation and managed to put the fire out.

However, after watching it unfold, Joe told her that the fire could have been started because someone had heard about Moira being released from prison, leaving Moira petrified.

And now, fans are convinced they know who is behind the fire. And it’s a soap legend rumoured to be heading back to the village. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person predicted Sadie King (Patsy Kensit).

They wrote: “Sadie started the fire calling it now.” A second agreed: “Maybe Joe is right and someone is out to get Moira. Sadie has a history with Cain.” A third penned: “You’re onto something here. Out for revenge.”

Earlier this month it was reported that Sadie – who made her debut in 2004 – is heading back to the soap. She was last seen in 2006, when Cain double-crossed his former flame, sparking her exit.

According to reports though she will soon be back, with “explosive scenes”. A source is said to have told The Sun: “This signing has been kept a top secret as bosses want Patsy’s return to shock fans.

“She is apparently delighted to get her teeth back into the meaty role. Scriptwriters want to keep the show going with explosive plots and divisive characters.”
