Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled what will be Theo Silverton’s ‘comeuppance’ for the hell he has put Todd Grimshaw through for months as he was questioned by the police in latest scenes.

As those who follow the ITV soap know, Theo’s behaviour turning more sinister as the weeks have progressed, with the builder punishing his partner both physically and mentally in a difficult-to-watch scenes.

Corrie fans thought things had come to a head when the pair split last month. But Theo didn’t make things easy for Todd as he launched his latest games, and the pair ended up reconciling, with the break-up clearly just another part of Theo’s manipulation tactics.

After that, things took another shocking turn when they ended up married days later, after Theo sprung a surprise wedding on Todd. Backed into a corner, Todd felt like he had no choice but to say ‘I Do’ and the news didn’t sit well with his loved ones when the newlyweds headed back to the Rovers to celebrate.

But it wasn’t long before George Shuttleworth heard first-hand just some of the vile comments Theo makes towards his new husband, before Gary Windass, Theo’s only ally on the street, experienced the same, with the two incidents only ramping up the concern for Todd.

However, during Monday’s (April 13) episode of Corrie, viewers saw the aftermath of Theo locking Todd in their bedroom overnight. Todd tried to convince Theo that he will move away with him, and that he’ll help him with his struggles, before the abuser finally relented.

With Theo heading for a shower, Todd took his chance to escape, only to find the flat door locked. Soon, Theo appeared, jingling their keys, and having caught Todd trying to leave him, he launched a violent and vicious attack which later left Todd bloodied and unable to stand while heading to Sarah’s flat for help.

Wednesday’s (April 15) episode of Corrie was then dedicated to Todd’s story, and raising awareness of domestic violence, Todd was seen getting his injuries documented at the police station when he locked eyes with another domestic abuse victim. It stopped him in his tracks as she appeared horrified by what she could see, having been subject to violence herself.

Todd was then heard telling Kit and DS Lisa Swain the true extent of what he’s been facing at the hands of Theo. While Todd was giving his statement, back on the street, Gary Windass cornered Theo and threatened him with a wrench, forcing him into the van before making their way to the police station where Kit was seen arresting him for ABH and false imprisonment, and Lisa was later seen questioning the abuser.

After trying to push the blame onto Todd, asking if they were being treated the same, Theo was held for the night in custody by Lisa. And as Corrie fans know, Theo won’t stay behind bars and he is also among the five possible victims of an upcoming murder in Weatherfield.

Sharing what they think will happen next, @Her_EvilQueen said: “Summer saying she will kill Theo. Is that foreshadowing. Please say yes. He killed her “dad” and abused her other “dad” I would love her to be the one to kill him!” @annabygilova replied: “I thought this too, Theo could be potential victim, but who knows – I’m excited to see what’s coming!!” But @joshgoat98 shared: “i think Miles [Theo’s son] kills him. its strange he is all of a sudden in the cast list for the episode after months of not being.”

However, @VelvetWildcat argued: “I’d rather Theo end up in prison than anyone else have to do prison time for him.” @gm_shantha echoed: “He should go to prison, not be killed. Show justice for real abuse victims.” @christinew11474 added: “I agree. Killing Theo off would be too quick and not justice for Todd. Locking him up for years would be better to make him suffer as you only had to see the way he lost it after being put in the cell.”
