Y&R Friday Recap: Nick Comes Clean With Victor, Victoria Throws Billy Under the Bus, and Guess Who’s Alive?!
Phyllis storms into he Club, where Lauren and Michael inform her that it’s too late to hire new executives. Red scoffs that she’s not afraid of Victor with Michael running her defence.
Michael hisses, “You can’t beat him.” She will go to prison if she keeps fighting. Besides, if he represents her, Victor would view it as the ultimate betrayal. Phyllis and Lauren accuse Michael of wanting to throw her under the bus to save face with Victor. He wants to do the right thing for both parties. Phyllis asks, “Can I count on you or not?” Lauren sides with Phyllis. Has Victor gotten to him? She fumes, “I really, really thought we were past all of that!”

Michael, defensive, rants that someone has to deal with facts. He warns Phyllis she’ll have to prove the emails are fake and the executives will testify against her. Phyllis asks what she should do. Michael suggests she not get charged in the first place by giving Victor what he wants. Phyllis, unsurprisingly, refuses. She tells Michael his option is to take the case and win.
Bus Meet Billy
On Crimson Light’s patio, Victoria hands over the fake evidence to Christine. “I know you’re as eager as I am to make her pay for all the damage she’s caused.” Christine makes it clear she’s not out for retribution ands asks if the emails incriminate only Phyllis and Cane.
Victoria’s aware that the emails incriminate Billy as well, but he’s only mentioned as having played a role. Christine warns he will go down with Phyllis and Cane. She asks Victoria if she really wants the father of her children caught up in this mess.

Victoria, twitchy, shrugs that the chips will fall where they may. Christine warns again that this could get very ugly. Her children must mean more to her than any company. Victoria is doing this for her children’s future. Billy played a role in the theft so he can take his punishment.

The Questioning
At Sharon’s house, she asks Noah if Sienna said anything more last night. Noah says she shuts down when he asks for details and seems worried about police. He glances at Sienna sleeping in the chair as they debate whether it was self-defence. Sharon needs to know Matt won’t show up again.
Sienna wakes up, certain she’s going to prison. Noah promises she won’t. Sharon asks what she remembers. Sienna says, “His eyes.” She recalls that Matt got angrier and crazier. “I didn’t know what to do, so I just…”

Sharon tries to probe for details, but she doesn’t remember anything except being outside of the car. Matt was on the ground and wasn’t moving. She must have done it. Sharon asks if she’s sure he was dead. Sienna exclaims, “He is dead! Matt is dead!”
Coming Clean
At the ranch, Adam and Nick update Victor on Vegas. Pops asks how Nick allowed Matt Clark to make him take drugs. Shuffling around, Nick comes clean about taking fentanyl willingly. Victor’s shocked right out of his chair. Nick explains that it stems back to his accident and Los Angeles.

Victor grimaces, “You could have died, my boy.” Nick’s ashamed but he’ll make this right. Adam explains he’s getting help. Nick credits Adam with saving him. It’s tears all around as Nick apologizes. Victor hugs him.

Victor next questions them about Matt and Sienna. Nick says she couldn’t give them any information. He’ll head over to Sharon’s to see if she remembers anything. Nick asks about the company and Victor tells them he “found” emails incriminating Phyllis, Cane and Billy. Adam and Nick learn that Victoria’s delivering them to Christine… the new D.A. Nick finds it hard to believe they’d leave a paper trail.
Nick keeps expressing skepticism as Victor declares Phyllis will lose in court. She has no chance. At that very moment at the Club, Michael tells Phyllis she can’t beat Victor. Phyllis snarks that if Michael can’t beat him, she’ll find a lawyer who can. He laughs at her list of candidates. Phyllis hyperventilates. No one has her back except Lauren! She stalks off, as Lauren glares at her husband.

The Final Scenes
At Sharon’s place, Sienna continues to insist that Matt is dead. Sharon’s not sold and peppers her with questions. Sienna blurts that he was chasing her. “I can’t do this anymore!” she protests, and runs out the door past Nick… with Noah on her heels.
Sharon explains to Nick that she may have pushed Sienna too hard. She asks how he’s feeling. A little shaky, he tells her. He can’t believe how the drugs hooked him and understands now what his mom went through. Sharon assures him no one is judging him. What bothers him most is that he put people he loves in danger.

At the ranch, Victor tells Adam that the silver lining in all of this is that he and his brother are closer. Victoria arrives, having delivered the evidence to Christine. Now they wait and see if she’ll run with it. She’s not sure Christine was convinced. Victor says he warned Michael against defending Phyllis.
Michael and Lauren catch up with Phyllis at the Club bar. He tries to reason with her. She did use the AI to steal Victor’s company. He doesn’t think she’ll win and doesn’t want to see her go to prison. Disgusted in him, she stalks out. Michael tells his wife he doesn’t know what else to say to her. Lauren warns, “Well, then, you’d better start thinking about what you’re going to say to me.”

Michael tells his wife this is a hopeless case. Lauren’s seen him defend more of those than she can count. This is about him staying on the right side of Victor. “You just can’t let him go!” she grits.
In her office, Phyllis wonders why she can’t catch a break. Why is everyone out to get her?
Back at Sharon’s place, she tells Nick that she’s having doubts that Matt Clark is actually dead. The camera pans to Matt, unconscious in the desert. Suddenly, his eyes open.
