Emmerdale’s Dr Todd set to be exposed by villager after Cain Dingle crash
Emmerdale viewers are convinced one villager will save Jacob Sugden from Dr. Todd, who has been bullying him
Emmerdale’s Jacob Sugden has been exposed as the person who smashed into Cain Dingle, but the circumstances have left one resident feeling suspicious.
As viewers of the ITV soap will recall, aspiring medic Jacob (played by Joe-Warren Plant) is being tormented by his supervisor, Dr. Todd (Caroline Harker), at the hospital. On Tuesday (7th April), the medical student was dismissed from work after Dr. Todd made it plain he lacked what it takes to be a doctor, leaving him distraught.
As he climbed behind the wheel, Jacob was distressed and sped off before crashing into Cain (Jeff Hordley), who was preparing to depart for his operation to remove cancer from his prostate. On Wednesday (8th April), Cain was rushed to the hospital.
There, he and his relatives were told he was recovering but was unable to undergo his surgery due to the collision. Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) was frantic as she fretted about her grandfather, Cain, after discovering that her own spouse, Jacob, was the perpetrator.
A concerned Sarah vented her fury at Jacob, branding him as reckless. He tentatively attempted to confide in Sarah about his workplace troubles, but decided against sharing the details with her, reports the Express.
Proposing to have a word with Jacob, Dr. Todd planned to humiliate him yet again. “You’re such a sensitive soul,” she told him patronisingly when he reminded her how distressed he’d been following their earlier exchange.
“After what happened with your dad and me, I should never have been driving, not after the things you’d said to me. I was in a proper state,” Jacob continued.
“How you reacted afterward has nothing to do with me,” Dr. Todd insisted. “You’ve got years of this ahead of you. You’re gonna get het-up about everything?”
Unbeknownst to Dr. Todd, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) was within earshot, hearing her berate Jacob and distress the trainee doctor, which aroused Kerry’s suspicions.
Overwhelmed by concern for Jacob’s mental well-being, Kerry burst into the room, feigning a search for Kyle (Huey Quinn).
Emmerdale viewers are now convinced that Kerry will be the one to rescue Jacob from Dr. Todd and reveal her true villainous nature.
On X, one viewer posted: “GET HER KERRY! #Emmerdale”, while another chimed in: “Go Kerry #emmerdale.”
A third commented: “Kerry will soon sort the evil doctor out #Emmerdale”, while another pleaded: “Ooh Kerry…… please look out for Jacob #emmerdale.”
“Kerry is going to make a Todd-skin coat by the end of all this, I reckon. #Emmerdale”, added another.
