A CRUSHING BLOW AS JODIE OFFICIALLY LOSES THE UPPER HAND IN A DEVASTATING CORONATION STREET SETBACK
Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) is an expert in manipulation, but her latest tactic may have backfired and lost her the upper hand against Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Viewers will know that Jodie and Daniel have been camping out in his flat for the past few days, with the rest of his family believing he was taking some time away.
When Jodie learnt of his supposed absence, she stole a spare key to his flat, hoping to stay there after being thrown out by the Platts.
However, she got a shock when Daniel emerged from the bathroom and she quickly realised that her lies weren’t going to wash with him.
Eventually, she convinced him to let her stay, and they’ve been co-habiting in relative harmony ever since.
However, tonight’s episode saw Jodie unwittingly sabotage herself with her latest scheme.

She told Daniel that she’d heard that Bertie had been really struggling without having him around, to the point that he had wet the bed.
This obviously encouraged Daniel to quit his pretence and ‘return home’, wasting no time in heading to No.1 to pick up his son.
However, when he arrived, he was surprised to learn that Bertie was staying with a friend, and that he had been having a great time while Daniel was away.

Daniel was quick to confront Jodie for lying, but she insisted it had been for his own good, as he couldn’t hide away forever.
Though she managed to convince him that it was for the best, it was at her own detriment, as Daniel then explained that with Bertie coming home, she would have to find somewhere else to stay.
Has Jodie sabotaged herself, or will she be able to convince Daniel to let her stay?
