Coronation Street fans spotted a “spoiler” as an actor shared a glimpse into his future on the cobbles. Carl Webster, played by Jonathan Howard, is one of the five potential victims set to be killed off later this month. The soap recently announced a murder mystery plot as one character’s time in Weatherfield will come to a dramatic end.In a flashforward scene shown on screen earlier this year, viewers watched Betsy Swain interviewed by the police after finding adead body of someone she knows. Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster were unveiled as each potentially having reason to be brutally killed.

In the episodes leading up to the shocking murder, viewers have been keeping a close eye on each and every character. However, fans recently spotted a “spoiler” when actor Jonathan Howard posed for a photo with his co-stars on set.

In a social media post from Wednesday, April 8, the Carl Webster star shared a selfie alongside Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

He wrote: “Sun finally came out to say hello on the cobbles today…”

However, soap fans couldn’t help but notice the actor is still filming on set, despite being at risk of being killed off. Some viewers questioned if this was an accidental spoiler as the actor let slip Carl’s future on the cobbles.

Taking to the comments, one fan said: “Well I’m guessing Carl doesn’t die!! Spoiler alert lol”. Another agreed and wrote: “That was my first thought.”

A third said: “Ooo…Carl isn’t the one who ends up dead on the 23rd then…” A fourth added: “Oooooo Carl doesn’t die!” while a fifth said: “He lives! Theo dies.”

A sixth soap fan added to the conversation on Instagram: “Oh, so one less murder victim suspect. I’m pleased.”

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, and the dramatic episode which will reveal all is set to air on April, 23.

Jonathan Howard, who hails from Lancashire, first arrived on the cobbles as the charming yet manipulative Carl Webster and has been at the centre of the drama ever since.

Jonathan’s soap debut was the first time the character of Carl Webster appeared on screen, rarely mentioned by Debbie and Kevin. It’s fair to say he wasted no time in ruffling feathers.

It was recently revealed that Debbie Webster is Carl’s biological mum and not his sister, and the bombshell news didn’t go down too well.
