Emmerdale’s Kammy takes an intimidating step as he seals romance with Belle Dingle

Emmerdale’s Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) is a brave man. Why, I hear you ask? Because he’s about to attend a party… with the Dingles.

Introduced to us last year, Kammy has become a familiar face to the village residents, largely due to the work he takes on at Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) garage. He’s a charmer, sometimes quite chaotic, but fiercely loyal to his friends.

We saw this last year when Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) tried to kiss Kammy after spending the day with him. If Kammy were bad news, he would’ve told Vinny’s fiancé, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) about what happened.

Instead, Kammy recognised how confused Vinny was about his sexuality and supported his friend, keeping his secret while he attempted to work out his feelings.

Towards the end of 2025, it became apparent that Kammy had a bit of a crush on Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

At the time, Belle was slowly dipping her toe back into the dating pool following her abusive relationship with Tom King (James Chase). Belle enjoyed hanging out with Kammy, but her anxieties around connecting with a new man, and not really knowing much about him meant it took her a little while to take a chance and explore where things could go.

While Kammy was patient, kind and empathetic with Belle, hopes of a long-term romance ended after they slept together. The duo weren’t exactly feeling a romantic connection, and concluded they’d be better off as friends.

Things changed this week, though, as Belle and Kammy enjoyed flirtatious banter while at the garage. Kammy was incredibly stressed working on his own, and enjoyed the distraction when Belle showed up.

The duo decide to give things another go as soon, Belle is seen getting ready for a date with Kammy.

Later in the week, he decides to attend a Dingle family bash.

Risky business if you ask me. While Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) knows Kammy’s decent, and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) would probably grumble and say ‘yeah, he’s alright’ when asked about him, the rest of the Dingles don’t know him particularly well.

And as they’re all incredibly protective over each other, one wrong move from Kammy will put him in the family’s bad book.

Can he cope?

Despite only being in the show for just over a year, Kammy has won over the Emmerdale audience, offering a refreshing sense of light that sits alongside the soap’s darker storylines.

He continues to leave viewers intrigued with the mystery surrounding his past, as many wonder just what Kammy Hadiq does when he isn’t in the village…
