General Hospital Wednesday April 29 Recap: Michael’s Plan For Willow

Valentin is playfully suggesting he make dinner as opposed to Carly getting yet another night of take-out when they’re interrupted by Michael’s arrival. After hustling Valentin out of sight, Carly listens to Michael lay out his latest plan to get the upper hand where Willow’s concerned… and it’s a doozy! He wants to essentially push Chase and Brook Lynn into an affair. After all, a congresswoman having an affair with her ex who happened to break all the rules to help her legally? That’s the kind of scandal that would guarantee Michael gets custody, or so he thinks. And while he doesn’t necessarily want to destroy Brook Lynn’s happiness… well, if her husband would do something like that, did she ever really know him?

Valentin and Carly talk

Once Michael leaves, Val comes out of hiding. He jokes that if Carly’s son had seen him, he’d have killed Michael. But when Val talks about the possibility of killing Jack, he’s definitely not joking. Carly protests, prompting Val to ask if she still loves the guy. But Carly is more concerned about what would happen to Val in the aftermath. She already lost Jason, she can’t lose him, too. So they need to stick to the plan to exonerate Valentin and leave Jack holding the bag!

Curtis Is Gunning For Isaiah

GH Curtis Laura

Curtis pays Laura a visit to ask a favor. Essentially, he’s looking for a way to push Isaiah under the proverbial bus. That might prove easier than even Curtis imagines, given that Isaiah’s vehicle has damage to it which he claims was done when he accidentally ran into the wall in the parking garage. Curtis points away that driving away from an accident is a crime, but Laura suggests the driver might not have even known there was an accident. Laura asks if Curtis truly believes it was Isaiah… or simply wants it to be him! Eventually, Laura seems able to make headway with Curtis, pointing out that he, Jordan and Isaiah will all be connected forever by the baby and he might not want to make waves.

Joss Puts the Pieces Together

GH Joss Brennan

Joss raises Lucas’ suspicions with her latest round of questions regarding Cullum. Why, Lucas asks, is she so interested in the patient? She says this isn’t about Cullum but rather her mom and Jason. “With Jason gone, I’m worried my mom could do something reckless,” she admits. They begin talking about Carly’s love life, with Lucas suggesting Carly is cheating on Brennan with Sonny. Joss, however, is sure that’s not true. And it certainly seems as if Joss knows her mom is involved with Valentin! In fact, she later goes to see Jack in his hotel room to say that he’s already lost Carly. Is she about to tell him about Valentin?!?

Brook Lynn Wants Phoebe

brook lynn phoebe gh

Alexis runs into Brook Lynn in the park and is introduced to the newest honorary Quartermaine, Phoebe. Quicker than you can say “temporary situation,” BLQ is asking advice on how to get custody of the little girl. Alexis points out that the sooner Brook Lynn and Chase make it official, the better. After all, there are many other people who are already in the system as wanting to adopt a child. Alexis warns that if Brook Lynn and Chase want to go through with this, they’ll have to convince a court to ignore its own rules and those other families. They will also, the attorney says, need to be prepared to have all their secrets exposed.

Brennan Backs Off

Brennan suggests to Nina that they re-examine their relationship. He promises not to use Charlotte in his search for Valentin or use the incriminating traffic footage against Willow. The catch? None, he insists. Nina can’t help but gloat about Brennan being afraid Carly would boot him for keeping the footage under wraps. Remembering her previous conversation with Valentin about setting up Jack, Nina suggests they just call it done where their connection is concerned. She later apologizes to Charlotte, but the teen isn’t particularly interested in listening.

Liz Is Getting Close to Willow’s Secret!

GH Willow Liz

Liz tells Willow about Drew having blinked an SOS. The congresswoman insists this is just her hubby being frustrated at being locked in. Liz suggests they pursue an eye-tracking device which would help him communicate with the world. Thinking quick, Willow says that would crush Drew’s spirit and leave him thinking she doesn’t believe he’ll ever recover. Willow later goes to see Nina, telling her about Liz and her pesky questions. Just outside Nina’s office, Charlotte and Jacinda are discussing their dislike of the mother/daughter duo of Nina/Willow. Just then, Michael arrives. telling Jacinda that he has a new plan to deal with Willow. At the same time, Willow’s telling her mom she will only keep Drew “locked in” long enough to get something that she can hold over his head and keep him silent upon “waking up.” And at the hospital, Lucas and Liz discuss Willow’s situation, with him suggesting that perhaps Drew’s wife doesn’t want him to communicate because she “doesn’t want to hear what he has to say!”

Lulu and “Nathan” Butt Heads

GH Nathan Lulu Cassius

“Nathan” warns Lulu that they have to do something about Rocco. He reveals that Rocco told Britt about his having shot Callum. Lulu sort of assumes Britt will keep that to herself out of love for the boy, but realizes the doctor might use it at some future point should the need arise. Cassius insists they need to get her son out of town for a while, because he’s simply not built to keep a secret like this. As they’re righting, Isaiah shows up with more antibiotics for Rocco. He says that he can’t share with anyone where he was the night Rocco was hurt because of doctor/patient confidentiality. In other words, he won’t be able to clear his own name if Curtis points the finger at him!
